Film Review 001 | Jessica Jones • 92%🐘

Jessica Jones is primarily a *superhero* and *neo-noir* series, with elements of *psychological thriller*, *crime*, and *drama*. The show's dark and gritty tone, complex characters, and exploration of mature themes like trauma, abuse, and addiction also make it a great fit for fans of *mystery* and *suspense* genres
The first season was a struggle for me to get into, but once I did, I was hooked. The dark theme was consistent throughout, but it got even darker in seasons two and three - I mean, a lot of characters died. The progression of the show was fantastic, with each season leveling up and the characters upgrading themselves. They finally became who they were meant to be.
I also appreciated how the characters' backstories and history were relevant, even the minor scenes. Nothing was wasted until the very end.
If I'm being honest, the sex scenes weren't really my thing. I mean, they were fine, but I prefer less revealing scenes. Especially in season one... Jessica and Luke's bed scene? No thanks.
Before I forget, this was the last Marvel-Netflix series before Disney and others took over. So, thanks to the creators for making something so amazing. I hope you continue to make more.
