Jessica Jones is primarily a *superhero* and *neo-noir* series, with elements of *psychological thriller*, *crime*, and *drama*. The show's dark and gritty tone, complex characters, and exploration of mature themes like trauma, abuse, and addiction also make it a great fit for fans of *mystery* and *suspense* genres The first season was a struggle for me to get into, but once I did, I was hooked. The dark theme was consistent throughout, but it got even darker in seasons two and three - I mean, a lot of characters died. The progression of the show was fantastic, with each season leveling up and the characters upgrading themselves. They finally became who they were meant to be. I also appreciated how the characters' backstories and history were relevant, even the minor scenes. Nothing was wasted until the very end.
